“Classé secret”, “Complètement Lycée” and “A criminal affair” are among the series which will receive, for their second season, a boost from SODEC.

In all, about ten series projects will receive financial support from the Société de développement des entreprises culturelle (SODEC), as part of its assistance program for television production. This program aims to increase the commercial potential and competitiveness of French-language productions outside Quebec, in addition to “promoting the production of high-level Quebec intellectual property.”

On the list is, among others, the novelty of Fabienne Larouche and her co-authors Michel Trudeau and Anita Rowan, The rebelsas well as the highly anticipated drama About Anthonyinspired by the life of author Cathleen Rouleau. These two new products are intended for Club illico.

SODEC is also granting money for the second season of “Comme des têtes pas de poule” (Télé-Québec and Club illico), for “Société Distincte”, which will tell the story of a ufologist seeking to find his brother who has been missing since fifteen years (Club illico) and for the television adaptation of Jean Lemieux’s thrillers, “Surprising Detective” (Club illico).

Expected on Crave for the month of May 2023, “Bon matin Chuck”, Jean-François Rivard’s first drama without his accomplice of the last few years François Létourneau – with whom he created “Série noire”, “Les invincibles” and “C ‘is how I love you’ – also obtained financial support from SODEC. The Radio-Canada youth program “Mini-Jean et Mini-Bulle”, with the voices of Ludivine Reding, Bernard Fortin, Anne Dorval and Adib Alkhalidey, completes the list.
