A new book that will make children aware of the protection of the territory of Charlevois
Through illustrations full of sweetness made in watercolor, Guide for young strollers offers children lots of ideas for discovering the inhabited forest of the Massif in a playful and poetic way, as explained by Karine Locatelli.
To guarantee the educational scope of the book, the three artists invited a biology consultant who confirmed all the information. They also went to the field hiking and carried out important research work. All in all, it took them almost 2 years to create the work from A to Z, with the help of the MRC de Charlevoix and its Fund for the Development of the Massif de Petite-Rivière-Saint-Francois Inhabited Forest. All this with the aim of making children aware of the protection of the territory around them, adds Patricia Aubé.
The artists do not intend to stop there: they have several projects in mind to highlight other sectors of the region.
Until then, Guide for young strollers it is available at Mousse Café in Baie-Saint-Paul. From Wednesday, September 21, it will also be on sale at Coop de l’Affluent in Petite-Rivière-Saint-François, at Ferme Éboulmontaise and at La base de Lit café in Les Éboulements.
