Another sexual assault complaint filed against the rock star has been dismissed
The case against Marilyn Manson (real name Brian Warner) worn by model Ashley Morgan Smithline was rejected.
According to an article by ResultSmithline attorney Jay Ellwanger withdrew from the case in October. Judge Fernando L. Aenlle-Rocha offered Smithline 90 days to hire a new attorney or represent itself, which it did not do by the December 5 deadline.
The case was formally dismissed without prejudice on Tuesday, January 3.
Howard King, Manson’s attorney, said: “We thank and commend Ashley Smithline for backing down from her claims against Brian Warner without seeking or receiving anything in return. Ms Smithline refused to be manipulated by others trying to pursue their own agenda against Mr Warner. We wish him well and will continue to work to ensure that a meaningful price will be paid by those who have tried to abuse our legal system.”
Smithline accused Manson of sexual assaultof human trafficking and unlawful imprisonment in an article published in People in May 2021.
This rejection follows the previous dismissal of the case against Manson by his ex-assistant Ashley Walters last May.
Also, about two months ago, Manson said his career was at a low point and he feared for his safety and that of his wife.
