Artist Kehlani denounces the sexual assault he suffered during his concert
The interpreter of “You should be there” recounted the inadmissible and reprehensible gesture of which he was the victim while crossing the crowd after giving the last concert of his tour in Manchester.
Sad and bewildering. Artist Kehlani shared on social media thesexual assault of which he was the victim in the middle of a concert. The 27-year-old performer has since deleted her Instagram post, posted on Dec. 13, but netizens had time to grab screenshots. In his post, iel also states that he deleted all the videos where iel told what happened. “I don’t want there to be videos of me being this pissed off, upset and crying in anger,” the artist wrote.
The last concert of his tour
“I don’t care how much you consider my music, my performances, the good time I have with my friends dancing in clubs, or ME to be sexual… That doesn’t give any of you the right to crossing boundaries, like sticking your hands under my skirt and pulling my underwear to TOUCH MY GENITALS as I’m escorted through the crowd after performing”Kehlani said.
Without details on the place of the attack, it is likely that the facts took place on December 12 in Manchester, United Kingdom. That evening, Kehlani gave the last concert of his “Blue water Road” tour, named after his latest album. They were then on stage at the O2 Victoria Warehouse before a showcase.
Already a victim of sexual assault in the past
“This shit sickens me. As a victim of sexual assault, I was constantly thrown off my feet and bewildered”Kehlani added. In 2019, the interpreter of “Distraction” had hinted that they had already been the victim of sexual assault, without recounting the precise facts, which were still painful. Speaking to the Sunday Gems podcast, however, he said: “I don’t want to add more pain, I don’t want to add more pain. All I’m saying is, send love to everyone who is on the road to recovery right now, and send love to everyone who needs it.” Support for Kehlani.
