Book fair: three authors present
This Sunday, October 16, the ADMR (home service association) revives the tradition of the book fair that the covid had interrupted. The event will take place in the party hall. The president, Daniel Ader, still has a few meters of space that aspiring exhibitors can reserve (€3/linear meter, table and chairs provided); they are invited to call, without delay, the following numbers: 05.62.99.77.27 or 06.88.58.29.61. This year, the flea market of booksellers will be enriched by the presence of three very different local authors. We have already announced the signing day proposed by Cécile Blanche, the “feel good” author. She will come from her nearby Magnoac to present “I had planned something else…”, her latest novel (our edition of October 4).
A new novelist
We stay close to Romaric Pruvot, from Tournous-Devant. This one will, for its part, enter the literary promotion. Indeed, these days, his publisher, Le Lys bleu, has just published his first novel “Hubert and Suzie”. The book fair will therefore experience a double premiere: first book and first public presentation. The author speaks in these terms of his work: “The book deals with a sensitive subject: old age and the dependence that results from it. The tone is light, very easy to read. It is amusing, touching and incredible”.
Alongside these two young authors, a pen of known and recognized talent will also be present. Marie-Claire Thuron, the tireless cantor of the historical, cultural, architectural and natural heritage of Bigorre and, especially of the Lannemezan plateau, will dedicate her works. Thus, readers who do not yet know his latest publication will discover “Les tumuli sur le plateau de Lannemezan”, released at the beginning of the year.
