Clown Suggests The Band’s Bonus Album, Look Outside Your Window, Will Arrive In 2023
Do you remember the bonus album from Noose that people thought would happen during the promotional cycle of We Are Not Your Kind ? Well, it looks like this one will finally arrive in 2023.
Last year the band released The end so farhis last album with the Roadrunner Records label, making Slipknot an independent band, free to choose what their future holds.
Several members of the group have already spoken about the disc in the past (Corey Taylor compared it to Radioheadadding that he had a very “experimental” vibe), but now Shawn “Clown” Crahan, percussionist and co-founder of Slipknot, calls this album, titled Look Outside Your Window, “one of the best things he’s done in his life”.
Speaking of this music recorded at the time of All Hope Is Gone (2008) at Upset MagazineClown said: “It’s an incredible work. You’ll never hear Corey Taylor like that again. The music and the lyrics…it’s one of the best things I’ve done in my life.”
The musician added that the band had given up on releasing the album early so it wouldn’t interfere with Slipknot’s other releases. [1, 2, 3]. He also hinted that the album could be released around Spring/Summer 2023.
He explained : “We didn’t want Slipknot to hurt Look Outside Your Window, or for Look Outside Your Window to bother Slipknot. Why ? Simply because it’s divine art and people deserve [de le découvrir dans le bon contexte].”
He added : “The good news is that in six months, on April 1, 2023, we will be released from our label. There are no plans to release anything immediately, and we haven’t talked about it, but I imagine it will probably come very soon after. We don’t have to do anything else, and it’s ready to go. The wait will be worth it.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Clown spoke about the loss of her daughterGabrielle, who died in 2019: “We lost our daughter, and nothing else matters now. Everything that was relevant is no longer. Demanding respect, needing respect, fighting for those things, none of that matters. My head is no longer in the clouds. My feet are buried in the ground. I’m just trying to live the ‘real journey of life’ now.”
Gabrielle Crahan died on May 18, 2019 in Los Angeles. The 22-year-old was one of four children Shawn had with his wife, Chantel, whom he married in June 1992.
