France Télévisions announces a series of appointments to the group’s information management – They will take effect from January 2

In a press release, France Télévisions announces a series of appointments to the information management of the television group. These appointments will take effect from January 2.

On the proposal of Alexandre Kara, director of information for France Télévisions, Delphine Ernotte Cunci appoints: Muriel Pleynet national editorial director; Michel Dumoret director in charge of the fight against misinformation, media education, coordination of schools and youth provision; François Brabant deputy director of franceinfo TV; Virginie Fichet Deputy Director in charge of the climate dossier and editorial services; Sébastien Vibert deputy director in charge of editorial transversality, forecasts and special operations.

Presentation

– Muriel Pleynet graduated from school of journalism (Celsa) and economics. She began her career in 1999 at I-Télé as a JRI (journalist reporting images). From 2001 to 2009, she worked at La Chaîne Parlementaire-National Assembly before being appointed Deputy Editor-in-Chief. From 2012 to 2013, Muriel Pleynet headed the political department of I-Télé. At I-Télé, she was previously deputy editor-in-chief.

From 2014 to 2016, she became editor-in-chief of Jean-Jacques Bourdin’s morning show on RMC. In 2016, she was editor-in-chief of the political department of Le Parisien. She joined France Télévisions in 2019 as editor-in-chief of the Political Service. Since March 2021, Muriel Pleynet has been editor-in-chief of the magazine Elysée 2022 and L’Evènement.

-Michel Dumoret started his career at RFO, before joining Radio France. Journalist in various local public service, he then joined the radio France Info where he became a specialist in education and European issues. In 1998, he participated in the creation of the “DEMAIN” channel, the first television channel dedicated to employment, training and sustainable development, before becoming editor-in-chief of the political department of I-Télé.

In 2010, he returned to public service and joined the editorial staff of France 3 in the political department to follow the news of the executive. In 2011, he took charge of the service, before joining France 2 where he has been editor-in-chief of the Political Program since 2016. In August 2019, he was appointed regional director of France 3 Bretagne. Since March 2021, Michel Dumoret has been the national editorial director.

– After studying law at the University of Lille 3 and a DUT in journalism in Bordeaux, Francois Brabant joined Antenne 2 in 1987 at Télématin. Reporter for the night newspaper from January to September 1990, he became a senior reporter for the Interior Policy department until May 1993. He was appointed head of the JT Sports department from June 1993 to January 1999. He was then successively a JT Télématin presenter (January 1999 / September 2001), deputy editor-in-chief JT of 13h (September 2001 / November 2004), and presenter and editor-in-chief of Stade 2 (January – September 2005).

In September 2005, he joined the editorial department of Sports where he was responsible for the editorial responsibility of the magazines “Stade2” (France 2) and “Tout le Sport” (France 3), as well as devices for the retransmission of sporting events in live on all the channels of the France Télévisions group From October 2011 to June 2016, he was deputy sports editorial director for France Télévisions, in charge of the editorial line and magazines. Since 2005, he has also hosted the Roland-Garros tournament on France Télévisions. In August 2016, he joined the franceinfo project team as deputy director, in charge of special operations.

In August 2017, he was appointed deputy operational director and editor in charge of special operations. In August 2018, he was appointed deputy operational director in charge of the franceinfo /TV edition antenna. Since October 2020, François Brabant has been deputy director of information in charge of coordination.

– Graduate of the IEP of Strasbourg in 1992 and of the CUEJ of Strasbourg in 1995, Virginie Fichet first worked as a freelancer and at the same time on a fixed-term contract in the France 3 network. She arrived at France 2 in 1997, first on a fixed-term contract, then in 2000 she joined the France 2 office in Lyon on a permanent contract.

From 2011 to 2014, she was deputy head of department in the society department of France 2. Then in 2014, she was appointed deputy editor-in-chief of the weekend editions of France 2. In July 2019, she was appointed editor-in-chief of editions of the weekend of France 2. Since September 2021, Virginie Fichet has been Deputy Director of the National Editorial Office.

– Graduated from the Lille School of Journalism (ESJ) in 1994, Sebastien Vibert began his career at France 2, in the Economics editorial department, then in the General Information department. In 1999, he joined the Envoyé Spécial magazine as a senior reporter, with Paul Nahon and Bernard Benyamin, then Guilaine Chenu and Françoise Jolly.

In 2005, he became editor-in-chief of Complément d’Enquête with Benoît Duquesne. In 2011, he was appointed head of the editorial office of France 2, before becoming deputy editor-in-chief of David Pujadas’ 20 H from September 2013 to July 2016. In August 2016, he was appointed editor-in-chief of L’ Angle Eco, then editor-in-chief of the magazine Envoyé Spécial in June 2017. Since September 2021, Sébastien Vibert has been Deputy Director of National Editorial.
