8:00 p.m.: Update on what we know – Two homeless men were arrested on Friday, December 30 in the morning, Montparnasse station in Paris. They were in possession of “nine small gas cylinders of the camping stove type”, learned franceinfo from the Paris prosecutor’s office. They were placed in police custody for apologizing for terrorism, confirming information from Figaro.

A 51-year-old man of French nationality, “unknown to the police, possibly of fragile mental health and alcoholic at the time of the events”, shouted that he was going to “blow himself up”, specifies this same source. However, it did not have the slightest firing system.

According to the daily, two people were intercepted around 7:45 a.m. by the police as they shouted that they wanted to “blow up everything” around them.

In their bag, the police discovered the nine gas cylinders, all full but described as “harmless”. Obviously, the two suspects had no firing system. The latter were placed in police custody as part of an open procedure for “apology for terrorism”.
