Golden Globes host’s humor questioned
Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael’s joke about late singer Withney Houston isn’t making it onto social media.

Several Internet users criticize the comedian who recalled that the ceremony was organized in the same hotel where the famous singer drowned in a bathtub in 2012 when she was 48 years old.
“We are all gathered here, live from the hotel that killed Whitney Houston, the Beverly Hilton,” he says in his opening monologue.
This is not the only moment of the evening when Mr. Carmichael created a chill in the room.
A little later, the 35-year-old comedian arrived on stage with three trophies, mentioning that they were those brought back from actor Tom Cruise.
The star of the “Mission Impossible” films made the decision last year to return his three Golden Globes after the unveiling of several information showing that the organization of this prestigious evening lacked diversity with no journalists of color among the 80 who vote for the winners.
The host then offered to trade the three trophies for the return of actress Shelly Miscavige, who hasn’t been seen in public since 2007.
