Guillaume Bertrand lists regional legends in a new book

Paris guide and history buff, Guillaume Bertrand, has published a new book “Legends of France” in which he lists regional legends.
Do you know the legend of Jean Bohalle in Maine-et-Loire, the beast of Orléans or the Vivre de Couches in Burgundy? If you haven’t, now is the time to discover them Legends of France. Guillaume Bertrand meticulously listed regional myths. It offers a synthesis, region by region, of the stories you may have been told during your childhood.
And you don’t need to be a history buff, the book is meant to be accessible to everyone, as confirmed by its author, Guillaume Bertrand. “My goal is for it to be transgenerational (…) to interest both history lovers and laymen“.
Legends of France can also act as travelogue book. Guillaume Bertrand tells us especially about the places where we still find traces of those stories. Something that will tickle the reader’s curiosity…
But above all, it is a beautiful book, which would fit perfectly, for example, under the Christmas tree. “We wanted to make a beautiful book. That the book object is pleasant to look at, to look at (…) has this cremoved some grimoiressince it is quite large, it is already 1.5 kg. And above all, it is highly illustrated“.
In addition to his writer’s hat, Guillaume Bertrand is a guide in Paris, specializing in myth and legend tours of the capital. He is also the author of the first book, Legends of Paris – Under the cobblestones, a mystery (2020).
