Comic Box, the reference magazine for pop culture and the world of comics is back with a new expanded and modernized version.

Don’t understand multiverses? The concept of alternate worlds — widely used in Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also at DC — it’s not new, but it still seems so opaque. To the extent that we sometimes wonder about its real usefulness: a real script spring or a ready-made excuse to justify the saga’s narrative inconsistencies? For all those wondering, Huginn and Muninn are back this month with the return of their magazine Comic book boxin volume 1 dedicated to the era of alternative superheroes.

After successful financing on the platform of Ulula’s crowdfunding (up to 213%), the project carried by the French publisher is actually a reboot of the magazine that was first created in 1998. After more than 20 years of existence and 104 issues, Comic Box finally drew its bow in 2017. This year, the brand that remained active on the Internet has the right to an unexpected revival, and a new, improved formula. This volume 1 should therefore be the first in a new long series, with longer articles dealing with more complex topics.

A mook dedicated to the multiverse

Now semi-annual Comic book box it will be in the form of a mook (paperback magazine). 208 printed pages dedicated to the multiverse, to his influence on comedic and then cinematic pop culture. Each issue will feature a wealth of research and exclusive content, but will also showcase its legacy, with a selection of legacy articles that have already contributed to the legend of the original magazine.
