Following an incident that occurred during the 1 p.m. television news on Monday, January 1, 2023, Ms. Habiba Dembele Sahouet was suspended from her position as director of information newspapers at the RTI (Ivorian Television Broadcasting).
According to local media, the reaction of the journalist was not long in coming. She maintains that the error is not in the editorial for which she is responsible.
“We stay focused, but often pulled down. The newspaper is the business of several information departments, the technical department, the production department and information systems. The error is not at the level of the editorial”, specified the former presenter of the television news.
As a reminder, during the Television News of the RTI1 of January 1, 2023, the speech of the Head of State, Alassane Ouattara, of August 6, 2022 was broadcast instead of that of December 31, 2022.
The General Manager of the RTIFausséni Dembélé, therefore decided to temporarily suspend Mrs. Dembélé Habiba, Director of Newspapers; Dalla Diabagaté, Technical Director; Cissé Inssa, Director of TV Production. Their interims are provided respectively by Koné Lanciné and Koné Siriki.
