Jennifer Coolidge Named Woman of the Year by Havard

Organizers of Havard’s Hasty Pudding Theatricals announced Tuesday (24 Jan. 23), that Jennifer Coolidge would be honored with the student theater society’s annual Woman of the Year award.

The star ofAmerican pie follows in the footsteps of previous recipients, including Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson, Anne Hathaway, Kerry Washington and Jennifer Garner.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Coolidge to her hometown and to Harvard, the iconic setting of A Blonde’s Revenge. His scintillating personality and comedic presence are so in the spirit of The Pudding,” Man and Woman of the Year coordinator Maya Dubin said in a statement. “We know she will fit right into the musical Pudding show, although she will still have to win her Pudding award on stage.”

Producer Sarah Mann added, “It’s an absolute dream for us to honor Jennifer Coolidge as Woman of the Year after her recent accolades for The White Lotus… We know our Pudding award will be phenomenal alongside his new Golden Globes, and we swear we won’t take him to a palace in Palermo!”

The Boston-born actress will receive the honor on February 4. The event includes a parade around Harvard Square, several festivities followed by a presentation of the winner.

Bob Odenkirk from You better call Saul was named 2023 Man of the Year. He will be similarly honored on February 2.
