Jennifer Lopez is proud to be Mrs. Affleck. The superstar explained to “Vogue” magazine, which she covers for the month of December, why she decided to take her husband’s name. “People will continue to call me Jennifer Lopez, but my official name will be Affleck,” he writes in the columns of the monthly.
“We are husband and wife. I am proud. I don’t think it’s a problem,” added the 53-year-old singer in response to criticism from some fans. When the journalist fromVogueWhen asked if she wanted Ben Affleck to bear her last name one day, Jennifer Lopez laughed: “No! This is not a tradition,” she asserted.
“Very real” feelings
The ‘Marry Me’ actress also spoke about her reunion with Ben Affleck. The lovebirds broke up in January 2004, three months after announcing their engagement. They met 17 years later, and made their love official last summer in a magnificent ceremony organized in the circle of their families, in the state of Georgia. “I always felt that there was real love between us. My loved ones know that he was a very, very special person to me. When we got together, those feelings were still very real.”
Jennifer Lopez was married from 2004 to 2014 with Marc Anthony. From this union, Max and Emme, twins who are now 14 years old, were born. Ben Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005. The couple has three children: Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.
