Laetitia Hallyday speaks without language about her relationship with David Hallyday and Laura Smet
A few days ago, we sadly celebrated the anniversary of the disappearance of Johnny Hallyday. Five years after his death, he remains in people’s memory. It was an icon, it is now part of the cultural heritage.
A Johnny Hallyday exhibition will see the light of day at Brussels Expo from 20 December.
Laetitia Hallyday returned to the program Quelle Epoque on France 2 on this exhibition which begins in Belgium: “Johnny wanted to fill a gap with a father who was Belgian. He has a love for the Belgians.“
I think I’m the perfect culprit
She also returned to her relationship with David Hallyday and Laura Smet: “I think I’m the perfect culprit, but at the same time Johnny’s whole life is like that. You have to know how to accept and not have grudges, not have hatred. It is a poison. In the mourning, it was complicated for me.”
When asked if they were reconciled, the answer is quite clear: “No no, I would love to. We try. One step at a time, we move forward. The only one who could fix things is Johnny. He left with a lot of things that he didn’t fix during his lifetime. I don’t blame him, but I would have liked him to fix things that he didn’t fix, I would have liked him to appease resentments, tensions and misdeeds.”
We will have to see if David Hallyday wishes to respond to Laetitia in the coming days.
