Launch of the Catalog of Digital Literary Works

The Mobile Quebec Literature team at Université Laval has made available the Catalog of Digital Literary Works (COLiN), a database of Quebec’s digital literary works to build their history and witness their evolution.

With almost 400 files on works of different literary genres, COLiN is intended as a tool for researchers, teachers and students. Users will be able to target the reading medium (computer, tablet or mobile phone) and the year of publication. The current database represents works from digital childhood, as well as more contemporary ones. There we find, among other things, The space factor, Traces of travel, Mukbang et de more ballads.

In order to be part of the catalog, the work must have a large literary content and have a significant, even majority, digital component. It must have been created by at least one person from Quebec in French.

COLiN is made possible thanks to a dozen researchers and research assistants from Laval University, Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Université du Québec à Montréal and Concordia University, under the leadership of René Audet and the coordination of Marie-Ève
