Le Lamentin pays a musical tribute to its deceased
The Feast of the Dead, celebrated on November 2, is an opportunity to pay tribute to our deceased loved ones. UA ceremony will thus be held in the cemetery of the commune of Lamentin from 5 p.m. this afternoon, Wednesday, November 2. The event aims to remind us that the cemetery is a place of death, but also a place of life and passage…
Priests, municipal officials, artists and the public present will be called upon to express themselves. The details of Laurent Marie-Luce, head of the Heritage and Tradition Service of the Lamentin Office of Culture.
In particular, we will honor the city officers who have disappeared, because we have lost a lot of colleagues. We couldn’t just stop at covid, it would have been tricky, so it’s a generic tribute, no theme this year. It’s really about allowing people to come together around a musical ceremony.
This will start at 5 p.m., at the level of the stele dedicated to the former elected officials of the city of Lamentin, with Stella Gonis, Xavier Zobda, Chantal Bruno, and Nathalie Ecanvil on her poster.
And then, of course, there will be Fathers Crépin, Henderson and Gibon.
The elected officials present will say a few words, in particular the Mayor, David Zobda, and his representative. But anyone who wishes to speak may also speak.
