“The four leaders were on my back a lot,” admitted the outgoing Prime Minister on Friday, the day after the TVA Face-to-Face. During the oratorical contest between the leaders of the five political parties, the CAQ leader came under attack from the left and the right. Several times he pouted.

The format of the exercise is not simple with five debaters. François Legault was unaware that the camera was capturing his reactions when his rivals launched an attack on him.

“I will improve that next Thursday (during the debate of the leaders of Radio-Canada). I will try to explain our ideas even better, he says. I hope that I will be able, for example on the green plans (of the parties), to have a little more time to explain, to present our ideas rather than just responding to the attacks of the four leaders”.

Thursday evening, the charges of the solidarity Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois and the conservative Éric Duhaime against the outgoing Prime Minister notably hit the bull’s eye. But François Legault does not want to clearly identify his main opponent.

“I take all my opponents seriously, all four attacked me, I didn’t see one more than the others. All four were tough,” he said.
