Luc-la-Primaube: birth book for children born in 2023

As part of its “Books and Babies” campaign, the Aveyron department is launching a new “Book of Birth” campaign, offering new parents a quality book for their child. During the last public session, the city council committed to this new action by naming the media library of Luc-la-Primaube as the location for delivery of the birth certificate offered by the department.

The goals are to promote artistic and cultural awakening from an early age, support and accompany parenthood. The book will be given to parents as part of the support of the Mother and Child Protection Service of the Departmental Houses of Solidarity (MSD) and through partner libraries. Mediateca Luc-la-Primaube can participate in this operation with its knowledge of the public, but also expertise in the field of children’s literature. This operation will also allow young parents who may not know it yet to get to know the media library.

In addition, the teams of the early childhood relay “La Galipette” and the multi-reception center “Chat Perché” will be able to convey information to parents attending these institutions and establish a connection with librarians. The selected book, “Petite shoot” by Sophie Vissière is stored in the media library. Every family will be able to collect their birth book from January 2, 2023. Mediateka as a delivery point undertakes to identify a “birth book” officer who undertakes that the distribution of the book will be accompanied by a personalized welcome by the parents, stating the reasons and roles of this procedure.
