Mathieu (Love is in the meadow) reveals to suffer from a “new genetic disease”

On his Instagram account, Mathieu, emblematic farmer of season 15 of Love is in the meadowannounced that he was going to take a break from social media for a few days. The farmer revealed to suffer from a new genetic disease.

The year 2022 has been complicated for Matthewcontestant of season 15 of Love is in the meadow. At the end of summer, the horse breeder announced his break with his companion Alexandre, whom he had met thanks to the show and whom he had married in 2021. “Today, we separate, by mutual agreement”, he revealed then. He explained the end of their relationship by different desires. “I think he needed a quieter, less turbulent life. He wanted to be stable, a more classic life,” he noted as well. Despite his separation, the farmer was determined to pursue his baby plans on his own. GPA procedures which were complicated by the genetic disease, of which he is a carrier. “It’s going to take a lot, a lot longer”he lamented on his Instagram account. “When you have a rare disease, it’s even more complicated. We add complicated to complicated“, he added.

He was diagnosed with a new illness last week

Mathieu had given reassuring news on the evolution of the pathology from which he is sufferinglast October. “The disease is not progressing so I am very very very happy”, he rejoiced. But this Wednesday, December 28, the farmer made a sad announcement to his subscribers. “Following your many messages of concern, know that all is well”, replied the former companion of Alexander to those who were worried about his silence. “However, the year was quite complicated for me”, he adds. Before making a revelation to his followers: he suffers from a “new genetic disease”. However, he does not say more about what he was diagnosed with, “last week”. “So I’m taking a network break”he adds. An absence which will however be short-lived, since the breeder already promises his subscribers to find him on January 1, 2023 at 12 p.m. “for a new and great adventure”. Something to reassure them!

An incurable disease

At the microphone of Jordan De Luxe, Mathieu had confided in the disease of Cadasil. “It is incurable. There is no treatment today that exists“, he had indicated. “It is a degeneration. These are mini strokes that we make in the microcirculation of the brain“, he specified. In fact, the former candidate of Love is in the meadow a “one in three chance” to do “a massive stroke” at any moment.
