Actor Adama Niane has passed away at the age of 56. He had notably played in Lupine (Netflix) alongside Omar Sy. He paid him a vibrant tribute on Twitter.
We learned, this Sunday, January 29, the death of actor Adama Niane, notably known for his roles in More beautiful life, Sam or Lupine. It was director Olivier Abbou, who announced the sad news on his Instagram account. “It is with great sadness that I have just learned of the death of Adama Niane, with whom I have the chance to work on the 2 seasons of maroni and Anger. We have not left each other for 4 years, sharing intense human and artistic adventures at the end of the world, in Guyana, in St Pierre and Miquelon and even in Lille (that is to say!). He was committed, on, whole, talented, powerful. He was my hero, a friend, an accomplice”he wrote on the social network. The causes of his death are still unknown.
The actor had played in many series
After his theater debut at the end of the 80s, the actor multiplied roles in successful television series. He thus played in Mysteries, Commissioner Moulin, Julie Lescaut, or PJ, before landing a recurring role in 2009 in More beautiful life. More recently, viewers saw him in the series Sat or in alex hugo. The actor has also acted in several feature films. He thus passed in front of the camera of Virginie Despentes in fuck me and before that of Claire Denis, in 2008, in 35 rums. He also played serial killer Guy Georges in the film. the SK1 case by Frédéric Tellier, in 2015. In 2019, he starred in Anger by Olivier Abbou (available on Netflix) and Joy.

The former accomplice of Fred Testot paid tribute to the actor on Twitter. “I send my deep condolences to the loved ones of Adama Niane, a huge actor alongside whom I had the chance and the pleasure of playing. A man of rare benevolence… May his soul rest in peace”he wrote on Twitter.
