“Papounet” ignited Forest National with his son: the Dutroncs hold on
A bar installed on the stage which inevitably recalls that of the tour of “old scoundrels“. The spirit of frank camaraderie that bound the three friends of the 60s – Johnny, Eddy and Jacques – gave way, five years later, to the tenderness of a family spirit. Only Thomas could convince Dutronc-père to get back on stage, and how well he did!
“I’d like to thank the show organizer for putting me on a stool, not a walker“, launches the almost octogenarian singer, by way of preamble. If he has certainly lost mobility, his humor is intact. It must be said that Jacques Dutronc found himself paralyzed by back problems two years ago. Once recovered, he agreed to leave his Corsican exile and here he is traveling far and wide in France and Belgium, revisiting his greatest hits alongside his son.
The absence of Françoise Hardy
Jacques has never departed from his cult look: perfecto and aviator glasses. Her son plays the mimicry card, not without a touch of pride. Here they are, forming an inseparable duo. Thomas recalls between two songs how much he loves his “papounet”, and how proud he is to drive this “sentimental tour“As for Françoise Hardy, she is never far away, even if her health problems have so far prevented her from being able to attend this concert which brings together the two men in her life.”My mother has friends or spies who take videos every night and watch them on Youtube“, laughs Thomas. And Jacques specifies, while they taste a blue Chimay at the counter of the bar of the scene: “Please don’t take pictures, because it’s me who will have problems again!“
A next Parisian date scheduled before Christmas can still give the chance to the interpreter of “All the boys” to make the trip, but the singer says she is suffering greatly from the after-effects of the 45 radiotherapies she has had to undergo in recent years. Remains for her the emotion of knowing her son and Jacques closer than ever, at 49 and 79 years old.
