Quillan: Friends of the book are hoping for new volunteers
The bibliobus of the Aude Departmental Library (BDA) is set up in front of the René-Pont room for the exchange of books and documents loaned to the Friends of the Book association. Twice a year, the volunteers of the association continue to renew the loan of BDA, a stock exchange that offers a large selection of books and documents for adults, children and teenagers, with a particularly large number of manga.
Once selected, the books are recorded and classified by volunteers and quickly made available to readers for a period of six months. These exchanges give members access to a large number of works in addition to those regularly purchased by Les amis du livre, so they are offered a wide selection throughout the year.
At the end of the year, Les amis du livre invites people of good will to come and strengthen the team of volunteers and open a new office. The current members, president, treasurer and secretary will resign at the end of the next general meeting. Future members of this new office will be welcomed and graciously supported by Michel Perez, Marylise Lemay and Patricia Lacoste in assuming their duties within the association.
