ruffian. Mediateka participates in the Korrigans literary award

There were many events for the end of the year in the media library Ruffiac (Morbihan) : readings for young children, a photo exhibition on the theme of animals or even a family competition that invites participants to observe the windows, where questions were asked… So many activities offered to children with the aim of introducing them to the vast universe of books.

Sandrine Seigneur, head of the media library, is very involved in the work with volunteers, so this place of socializing and sharing is a place of intergenerational encounters. In cooperation with National Education and surrounding media libraries, it offers schoolchildren participate in the Korrigans prize. This is the first literary award in the field for children. It is intended for all elementary school students in the district.

In Ruffiac, all classes of the Sainte-Anne school decided to participate. Four works are read by students at school (only if they are already readers) or on site in the family library. Books cannot be borrowed. Reading extension is offered in the form of floor games (board collage, memory game).

After reading four books, students will have to vote for their favorite on May 15, 2023, from 9 a.m. to noon. The winning horse riding book will win a Korrigans prize.

“Bibliobingo”

We present to young readers a new game, bibliobingo. It consists of marking a box in the grid for each book read and returned. When the grid is finished, we win a small gift.

Home delivery is also possible, by contacting the media library, which will offer a selection of books and movies.

New articles are available every month, volunteers are always on hand for advice and ideas for new reading.
