Health problems catch up with Salvatore Adamo. According to a newspaper report The Parisian, the 79-year-old singer currently suffers from a hematoma on a vocal cordthus causing temporary aphonia. As a result, according to his French show producer, Salvatore Adamo is forced to cancel his next concert scheduled for Barcelona on January 20. He now hopes to be recovered for his stage appearance scheduled in Istanbul on February 10, 2023. The highlight of his tour will be his concert at the Grand Rexin Paris, on October 18, 2023.
According to our colleagues from Parisian, the Italian-Belgian interpreter of the title The snow falls must for now undergo rehabilitation, but also speak as little and as low as possible. This health concern also has a consequence on the promotion of his new album. The latter, his 26th album and baptized In French please, is due out on January 27. Thus, the media appointments planned this week in Brussels to evoke it are being canceled.
Heart problems for Salvatore Adamo
In his life, Salvatore Adamo was not spared from the glitches of his health. From the age of 7, meningitis affected him and forced to stay in bed for several months, watched over by his mother. In 1984, the singer, who lost his sister in 2020, also suffered a heart attack. Twenty years later, he made a cerebral vascular accident (CVA), which was followed by five weeks of hospitalization. Faced with this succession of medical problems, Salvatore Adamo is well aware of his duty “a lot to the medical profession”. Thus, he does not hesitate to pay tribute to caregivers through music. “At the end of my last convalescence, I wrote Les Cherubs as a tribute to the doctors who had rescued me. I sang it at my first concert in Mons and never again after”he told the Parisianin February 2018.
