season 3 has a release date (and it’s coming very soon)

It’s arguably the most popular Star Wars series on Disney+. We finally know the launch date of season 3 of The Mandalorian on the streaming service. The announcement was made by the entertainment giant during Comic-Con in Brazil, and took the opportunity to unveil new images, which we unfortunately do not have access to. (Warning: the rest of this article contains elements from previous seasons).

Suspense for season 3 of The Mandalorian

It is therefore on March 1, 2023 that season 3 will start on the platform. Two years have passed since the epic finale of season 2 which allowed us to discover a rejuvenated Luke Skywalker in deepfake, coming to save our heroes in a very unfortunate position. Since then, we have been able to see Din Djarin and Grogu in the series Boba Fett’s Book. While their appearance delighted fans, it was only short-lived.

So what does this third season have in store for us? According to the journalists present at this Comic-Con, the images unveiled to the public showed several new places, including the planet Mandalore, the land of the Mandalorians. Also unsurprisingly, Grogu seems to have chosen to stay with his friend Din Djarin, and not with Luke Skywalker.

But other questions also remain unanswered. One can in particular wonder what will be the consequences of Din Djarin’s decision to remove his mask. We know that it is a formal ban among the Mandalorians.

The hero is also the holder of the Dark Saber, a symbol of power for his people, but no doubt this object should earn him some enmity. In short, these new episodes do not promise to be easy for our duo.

Full of Star Wars series on Disney +

Waiting to see season 3 of The Mandalorian next March, you can still watch season 1 from Andor on Disney+. We particularly enjoyed this one-of-a-kind series that shows behind the scenes of the formation of the rebellion from the top to the bottom of the social ladder.

Series Ahsoka should also make the heyday of the streaming service in 2023. Headed by Dave Filoni, it will allow us to follow the adventures of Anakin Skywalker’s former Jedi apprentice, played by Rosario Dawson. In short, it will be understood, Star Wars is now available much more in series than on the big screen, even if Lucasfilm continues to work on feature film projects.
