The automatic Patronomia book celebrates its 10th anniversary
In 2012, when Christophe Boutreux and Michel Démorest met, the former had the idea of developing a web solution for writing genealogy books, and the latter already had a software solution for this job, Filiatus. Thus was born Patronomia, a website that allows you to automatically write books.
In 10 years, many improvements have been made in this amazing mill that turns data that is rather unremarkable (names, names, dates, professions) into fascinating mini-biographies. The result, in the form of a book carefully printed in France, arrives at your home in a few days.
There are several ways to start writing an auto book. The easiest way is to use one of the three available gateways if you have stored the results of your genealogical research with one of the three Patronomie partners: French Geneanet, American FamilySearch or Dutch GenealogieOnline. In this case, in a few clicks, the site retrieves your data and photos and automatically creates a PDF file. After proofreading, it is ready for printing.
Otherwise, there is still the option of loading a gedcom file from your software such as Heredis, Geneatique, MyHeritage or more exotic ones such as Legacy, RootsMagic, etc. Ideal for users of these tools who do not want to put their data older than 100 years on the Internet. And this is where Patronomia manages to bring it all back to its servers and make its auto-writing system work. In the case of Heredis, the media is imported in ZIP format, and then the images are automatically linked to the right people.
Patronomia has just added two new languages to its offer: in addition to French, English, Italian, Spanish and Dutch, the site now also “speaks” German and Portuguese. In November, the site celebrates its 10th anniversary by offering an anniversary promotion : 10% discount for 10 days from Saturday 19/11 to Monday 28/11 (Black Friday week). To enjoy!
