The fifth edition of the Night of Reading that will keep us awake

Whether you like to stay in the comfort of your armchair (or bed!) or the desire to see the world makes you go out, reading night offers a variety of meetings and activities that will liven up your evening!

Indeed, on January 21, almost two dozen activities are organized here and there, throughout Quebec, in libraries, bookstores and other places suitable for cultural exchange. On the program are readings, stories and poetry, conversations and small pleasant pleasures! Find out what’s going on here near you.

In addition, 50 authors from Quebec will be happy to read to you in a duet for 45 minutes, live on Zoom. Some pairs take turns reading an excerpt from their book, others read them together, and still others make a real animation out of it! In any case, these are precious and warm moments. These 25 reading duos are held from 18:00 to 22:00 and are intended primarily for adults. Don’t worry, there is something for the youngest, the elderly and teenagers! However, registration is required to participate. To view these must-see events and register, it’s here.

Nuit de la lecture au Québec is organized by the Quebec Union of Writers and Writers and the Reading for Success Foundation. This year the event is supported by two spokespersons, Catherine Ethier and Michel Jean. The Night of Reading in Quebec is part of the Night of Reading movement that started in France in 2017 and has since spread throughout the Francophonie world.
