The group Florence + The machine cancels its tour after the injury of its singer
The British group Florence + The Machine is forced to cancel the rest of its international tour, due to an injury to singer Florence Welch.
British singer Florence Welch, figure of the Indie Rock band Florence + The Machine, announced on Saturday that she had to cancel her international tour after injuring her foot during a concert.
“I’m so sorry to report that after an x-ray it looks like I danced on a broken foot last night,” the band wrote in a “Story” published on Instagram this Saturday.
“I can’t wait to get back on my feet”
“It’s not my style to cancel a concert, let alone a UK tour; but I suffer”, continues the singer in her story on the social network. “And as every dancer knows, dancing while injured is not a good idea. I was recommended not to perform in order to avoid doing more damage.”
The tour, which began on April 15, was scheduled to tour Europe, North America and Australia and was supposed to end on July 2, 2023.
Florence Welch also explains that she was “heartbroken” because “the ‘Dance Fever Tour’ is the tour that I preferred to ride so far”. And to add: “My heart hurts, I can’t wait to be back on my feet and back in your arms”.
