The Little Singers at the Croix de Bois return to Reunion
This is a story that has lasted for more than 50 years! The famous children’s choir, which has been traveling around the world for 115 years, came to Reunion in 1967 for the first time. And since then, the Little Singers have returned 6 times. It is therefore the 8th tour that they are preparing to conduct on Bourbon Island from February 1st. With a choir of 24 singers aged 9 to 17, they are preparing to sing songs of sacred, classical, current, traditional and world music, as well as some pieces of Creole culture, for the most great joy of the faithful and music lovers.
Concerts under the sign of Peace and Sharing
With its religious repertoire, of course, but also contemporary and popular pieces, Les Petits Chanteurs at La Croix de Bois travel across France and the world to bring their message of Hope.
“What makes Les Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois special is their desire to transmit, beyond the concert itself, a message of peace and brotherhood between peoples” explains Vincent Thomas, choirmaster.
They will therefore perform pieces from their latest album, with a mix of religious songs and great classics of the French repertoire. Creole songs have also been specially selected for the Reunionese public, which they find with joy after 5 years of absence!
In some parishes, little Péi singers will join them to sing certain songs with them, such as “Ti Fleur Fanée”, “Mon Île” or even “Lady Maloya” by Jacqueline Farreyrol.

> About the Little Singers at the Wooden Cross
Described as “ambassadors of France” with “crystalline voices”, the Petits Chanteurs à la Croix de Bois are among the most accomplished boys’ choirs in the world, renowned in particular for their openness and precision. The choir school has been in residence in Autun (Burgundy) since 2014, placed under the administrative and artistic direction of Vincent Bruggeman.
When they were created in 1907, the Petits Chanteurs sang an exclusively religious repertoire. They evolve thereafter by enriching themselves with profane and contemporary pieces. Since the 1960s, they have opened up to so-called popular music, regularly collaborating with leading variety artists such as Pascal Obispo, Louis Chedid, Charles Aznavour and even Bénabar… This artistic evolution allows the Little Singers to reach a wider audience and gain unwavering notoriety.
