The richness of the neighborhood in the book
Back to the Future Saint-Jacques a it was carried out as part of the urban renewal of the “Grands Ensembles” of Clermont-Ferrand.
The one in the Saint-Jacques district started in 2017 and should end in 2030. It was carried out by the Saint-Jacques District Childhood and Family Association, which offers a place to receive children and parents: the Common House.
This book offers testimonials and old photos, but also a description of the “Imagine your neighborhood” workshops that were held with the children of the Jean-Jaurès kindergarten, for a “futuristic” projection of what the children imagine tomorrow… First of all, a friendly and vegetated neighborhood!
In partnership with the Clermont Auvergne Métropole, the city of Clermont-Ferrand and the Development Fund for Community Life (FDVA), it wants to address both children and their parents, residents, former residents, professionals, curious, lovers, nostalgic for this rich neighborhood in human history, cultural diversity and solidarity. Wealth is not only economic… Social ties, solidarity, friendliness are also great riches, and the inhabitants of the Saint-Jacques district do not lack them.
