The Salon du livre péi will take place from October 27 to 29
The first edition was successful in 2021 with the support of the city of Saint-Paul, which agreed to host the Salon. The event highlighted the need for a dedicated fair that would give pride to Péi publishers and authors, to promote the diversity and quality of Péi literary production.
As last year, it is open to publishing associations and all authors, including self-publishers.
At the opening of the exhibition on Thursday, October 27, the Vanille awards will be awarded in the categories of illustration – drawing – fiction. Each year they award 3 works from Reunion or the Indian Ocean.
Why did the péi book fair change its name?
New name: Péi Book Fair instead of Péi Authors and Publishers Fair was decided for greater readability and consistency with the event. I was reading a pei book.
Why does the péi book fair last for three days?
3 full days make it possible to reach all audiences at Reunion, beyond associations and schools in Saint-Paul: the general public, experts, public reading networks, Liv La Kaz associations and others…
Why is the péi book fair held at the end of October?
These dates are very favorable for the fair, before the year-end celebration and during Creole Week.
How many school children are affected?
For the workshops, 8 classes from different primary schools in Saint-Paul, i.e. almost 180 students. To visit the Babook exhibition, 12 classes, or 300 students. A total of nearly 500 students!
