Two young writers from the region won honors at a literary competition

On September 24, the 14th Saint-Ours Youth Book Fair took place. 60 young authors who participated in the Conc’Ours Regroupement littéraire Jeunesse de Saint-Ours presented their books to numerous visitors to the book fair.

After evaluating 60 books in the competition, the 33 readers who made up the jury awarded Kamille Cardin, a student at Fernand-Lefebvre High School, for her novel Renaissance and Amy Simard, a student at École Au Petit Bois, for her novel Lily of the Conquest of the Four Kingdoms, the Prix de la Ferme Saint-Ours reserved for participants from MRC Pierre-De Saurel.

$100 scholarships and Antidote + family format writing software provided by Druid informatics accompany these awards.

Regroupement littéraire Jeunesse de Saint-Ours (RLJSO) is a non-governmental organization that offers young authors between the ages of 6 and 17 from all over Quebec the opportunity to write and publish a book in a literary genre of their choice (novel, story, short stories, poetry, comics ).

Conc’Ours participants can benefit from support during the writing, proofreading, translation and printing periods of their books.
